Rambert Grades has announced its 2026-27 Syllabus Training, which offers: 10 new training opportunities now available to practitioners internationally; training which will be delivered online, and tailored to different time zones; a syllabus which is Ofqual registered, and supports children’s dance practice from Creative Movers through to Grade 8.

A partnership between Rambert and Rambert School, Rambert Grades is a progressive contemporary dance syllabus developed from more than a century of pioneering contemporary dance education and performance.

Guided by an ethos of dance training to empower, Rambert Grades promotes a holistic, student-centered approach to dance education that is accessible to learners from a wide range of backgrounds.

Spanning 12 Ofqual-regulated Creative Contemporary Dance qualifications from Creative Movers through to Grade 8, the syllabus connects professional practice with teaching in schools and studios internationally, supporting the development of creativity, independence and transferable skills through contemporary dance. Students engage with choreography by internationally renowned artists including Matthew Bourne, Alessandra Seutin and Hofesh Shechter.

Offering 10 new online courses tailored to different time zones, Syllabus Training is scheduled throughout the year to accommodate busy teaching schedules.

Delivered online, training combines practical pedagogy with performance practice, equipping teachers to deliver the 12 Ofqual-regulated contemporary dance qualifications with confidence.

Training is suitable for dance teachers, dance graduates, professional dancers and educators delivering dance in schools.

To become a Rambert Grades Trained Teacher, applicants must first become a Rambert Grades Member, evidencing appropriate dance teaching qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
