Australasian Dance Collective (ADC) has launched its Digital Suite and Creative Learning Suite – home to world-class dance films and a rich toolkit of resources for dance educators and students.

The Digital Suite is an online platform that houses ADC’s bespoke collection of dance films – works commissioned for the digital space rather than locked off recordings of stage performances. The Creative Learning Suite offers digital resources created especially for educators. Designed for the classroom, this suite includes ADC’s dance film commissions alongside extensive video content and written resources developed in line with the curriculum.

A stunning triptych of dance films created by Jack Lister and director Ryan Renshaw is the very first offering on ADC’s brand new Digital Suite. Lister has fused dance and visual art to create the intricate and hauntingly beautiful Still Life films – VanitasTabeo and Interitus.

A collaboration between ADC and Kiosk Films, they were filmed on location in October last year across Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Renshaw’s own gallery space, The Renshaws, and ADC’s Fortitude Valley studio.

Still Life itself is a triptych, created to sit across multiple iterations – a performance work for the stage (which premiered as part of THREE in May), a film work and a gallery installation.

The Still Life films have already been accepted into four international film festivals, but you can see them first on ADC’s Digital Suite. These films are available for purchase here.

ADC’s Creative Learning Suite contains the FILM Suite with bespoke dance film commissions, behind-the-scenes, interviews and resources to help reveal our processes and translate them to learning environments.

The STAGE Suite features repertoire excerpts, broken down for easy learning, interviews, task work and creative processes. The TOOLKIT Suite includes practice-based resources such as improvisation scores and technique. The Creative Learning Suite will be regularly updated – with new content released throughout the year in line with ADC’s live performance seasons and dance film commissions, as well as continually adding new toolkit resources for developing own practice, choreographic processes, improvisation scores and producing dance for film.

The Creative Learning Suite is available for subscription through the ADC website. Subscribe before January 1, 2022, to secure an early bird discount.
