Award-winning and internationally acclaimed choreographer Liz Lea brings her luminous new one-woman show Diamond to the stage, delivering a joy-filled exploration of ageing, resilience, and the dazzling complexity of womanhood.

Blending contemporary dance, song, cabaret, and a touch of burlesque, this captivating production invites audiences into a world of humour, glamour, and heartfelt transformation. With moments of raw honesty and riotous play, Diamond celebrates the brilliance that emerges through time — the courage, fragility, and power that define us as we evolve.

Inspired by the enduring strength and many facets of a diamond, the work reflects on how we are shaped by experience, pressure, and the will to keep shining. A sparkling homage to the resilience and beauty of ageing women, Diamond is bold, unapologetic, and full of life.

As part of this world premiere season presented by Q the Locals, Liz Lea will be joined by some very special guests. Expect magic and mayhem in this riotous search for the silver lining, and the diamond.

This season will be accompanied by an Auslan interpreter and audio description. Auslan interpretation will be offered for both Saturday performances, while audio description will be available for the Friday and Saturday performances, with six headsets available per show.

Diamond is the second in a trilogy of works, following RED, which toured for five years across four countries and more than 28 performances.

The show will be performed at The Q, Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre on 6 and 7 August at 7:30pm, and on 8 August at 2pm and 7:30pm.
