In the making of every great art form, there is always a team of talented artisans who work behind the scenes to enrich and enhance a work of art. These are the craftspeople who intrinsically understand the needs and requirements of that art form and the artists within.
Since Queensland Ballet’s inception, Bloch has been working alongside the company’s dancers to provide perfectly crafted, custom fit ballet and pointe shoes. To celebrate this long and rich history spanning over five decades between the two companies, Queensland Ballet is thrilled to announce an official partnership, with Bloch becoming the Official Pointe Shoe Partner to Queensland Ballet.

Queensland Ballet Artistic Director Li Cunxin says the company is pleased to formalise the partnership with Bloch after working with them for so many years.
“Bloch’s commitment to traditional handcrafted design and artistic integrity mirrors our own dedication to always pursue the best,” he explains. “Shoes are perhaps one of the most important tools in a dancer’s career. They are integral to performance and even impact on career longevity. They are instruments that can give the greatest confidence, and each dancer’s relationship with their shoes is unique and important.”
