‘Pretty Woman: The Musical’ Set to Charm Brisbane in Australian Premiere

The blockbuster Broadway and West End musical Pretty Woman: The Musical, adapted from the beloved film featuring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, is set to premiere in Australia at Brisbane’s QPAC in October 2025.

Singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, who wrote the music and lyrics for Pretty Woman: The Musical, alongside Jim Vallance, was at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in Brisbane to make the official announcement.

“I’m thrilled Pretty Woman is finally in Australia, I went to see it last year and it blew me away!” said Bryan Adams.

The musical broke box office records at the Nederlander Theatre when making its Broadway debut in 2018 and has also wowed audiences in Spain, Italy, Poland and Germany as well as an extended West End season. Local casting announcements will be made in the coming months.

“I first saw this on the West End in London and just loved it and knew immediately that I needed to bring it to Australia. I’m so excited to premiere this production in Brisbane,” said producer Suzanne Jones.
