Registrations are now open for DirtyFeet’s The Right Foot Creative contemporary dance workshops for people with and without disabilities between the ages of 16 and 30 years.

These community-based dance workshops offer participants the opportunity to develop their skills in contemporary dance and theatre while being part of a collaborative and creative learning experience.

The Right Foot 2024 workshop will be held 3 – 5 May, with a presentation/sharing on Sunday 5 May at Glebe Town Hall. Led by professional artists with disability Christopher Bunton and Bonnie Curtis, this three-day workshop will provide a nurturing environment for individuals of all abilities to explore their creativity and express themselves through movement.

The workshops focus on building individual and collective strength, and encourage participants to discover and develop their own unique styles and voices through creative movement. In a safe and supportive environment, the workshop promotes inclusivity, friendship, self-confidence, and a sense of achievement through collaboration and dance.

The City of Sydney is proud to be a venue partner for The Right Foot, providing in-kind space to dance, play and create. The informal presentation at the end of the workshop allows participants to showcase their hard work and creative developments to their family and friends.
