International Ballet Workshops, an organisation that brings elite ballet teachers to Australia and New Zealand for workshop tours during the school holidays, has just released an exciting new product. The Dancer’s Dream Diary is a very special goal-setting journal developed to help young dancers make their dreams come true. An illustrated, 260-page, full-colour journal, it has arrived just in time for Christmas and the New Year.
International Ballet Workshops (IBW) Director Rain Francis says, “At International Ballet Workshops we meet so many passionate young dancers from all over Australia and New Zealand who are so dedicated to being the best they can be. We wanted to create something special but practical to help them clarify their goals, break them down and work systematically towards making them reality. The Dancer’s Dream Diary is inspired by those dancers we’ve met at IBW, but we hope it will bring joy and inspiration to many more!”
The journal is designed to be used at any time, over three months, with fully guided planning, visualising and tracking exercises to achieve short-term goals. Users can track progress, record corrections, identify areas of improvement, cultivate gratitude and celebrate wins.
“Personally I have always been a journaller, a writer and a dreamer. Learning how to set and achieve goals has helped me in so many aspects of my career, from dancing in a company, to creating full-length works, to establishing a school and running my own company,” says Francis. “I encourage everyone to dream huge. Then all you have to do is figure out how to get there – which is what the Dancer’s Dream Diary is for!”
