On Friday night at Dolton House, Sydney, Victorian Dance Festival (VDF) was bestowed with a 2017 National AusMumpreneur Award in the category of Regional Business.
VDF Founder and Director Kate Meade was in attendance to receive the prestigious award amongst other successful female business owners from across Australia.
“I’m completely blown away right now,” Meade said excitedly. “We need to thank the incredible team that has worked on and believed in VDF for the past five years. To all the dance studios, teachers, students, parents, sponsors and instructors, you are truly the heart and soul of this community.”
Meade stood as a proud regional Victorian businesswoman and advocated that dance is truly the best recreational activity for children, adults and everyone in between.
Dance was also represented in the categories of Customer Service and Business Excellence, with Natalie Ettingshausen, Jade Barnes, Belinda Agostino, Priscilla Severino and Glenda Yee of Ready Set Dance nominated in both categories. They proudly placed third nationally for Business Excellence.
“Thank you to all of our amazing dance studio owners who spread our vision across Australia and NZ daily to preschoolers who love to dance,” said the Ready Set Dance team. “Thank you also to all of our dance parents who have chosen us and given their child the magic of dance.”
The AusMumpreneur Awards, presented by The AusMumpreneur Network, celebrate Australian mothers in business achieving outstanding success. The Awards are designed to recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.
