A new, exciting dance competition and workshop experience is touring Australia! The On Broadway National Workshop & Competition, run by J.O. International Productions, sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines, Capezio, Dance Informa and MusicNotes.com, is a full-day workshop and audition experience for Australians interested in a career on Broadway.
Coaches Seth Stewart, Sharona D’Ornellas, Johnny Ramey and Julie McBride, direct from New York, will take dancers through three workshops in dance, acting and singing, exploring the processes involved in auditioning on Broadway.
Students will learn about what’s involved in US audition processes and hear feedback on their abilities and talent from seasoned Broadway professionals, a renowned New York Agent and from an expert panel of Australian judges, including Todd McKenney, Lynn Ruthven and Kelly Aykers. Students will also learn about O1 Working Visa processes for entertainers from VisaPaq specialists, enjoy a Q&A with the international coaches and compete in the “On Broadway” competition.

The winners of the competition will be selected from the top two performers in each city, chosen by Todd McKenney, Lynn Ruthven and Kelly Aykers. The lucky Professional Winners will receive a return flight to New York City thanks to Hawaiian Airlines, a $500 Capezio Gift Voucher, a $100 Gift Voucher to Musicnotes.com, a 10-class pass to train at Broadway Dance Center (BDC) and tickets to Spiderman on Broadway. They will also be given a meeting with top US Talent Agent Lakey Wolff and a meeting with VisaPaq to discuss O1 Working Visa options and to begin the process of obtaining a working visa for the US.
The lucky Professional Winners will also be interviewed and featured in Dance Informa! Other prizes include a year’s supply of Schwarzkopf hair products and Broadway Dance Center merchandise.

The Apprentice Winners will receive flights to New York, a $500 Capezio Gift Voucher, a $100 Gift Voucher to Musicnotes.com, a 10-class pass to BDC, and tickets to Spiderman, as well as a private tour of The Julliard School.
Two Professional Runner-ups will receive a $500 gift voucher from Broadway Dance Center to complete the International Student Visa Program, plus Broadway tickets and a $100 Capezio voucher.
