Can you introduce yourself and share how your journey in the industry began?

“My name is Erianthe Akaata, and I’m a professional dancer, actor, and musical theatre performer. I began training at a young age, but my pathway quickly became more focused as I entered a full-time, industry-driven training environment at Dynamite Studios Australia.

From early on, I was exposed to a wide range of disciplines, including dance, acting, musical theatre, and circus arts, which allowed me to develop as a versatile performer. That training has been instrumental in preparing me for professional work across stage and screen, and it continues to underpin the way I approach every opportunity.”

What have been some of the most defining moments of your career so far?

“Being cast in TINA – The Tina Turner Musical as Young Anna Mae in Melbourne, and Young Alline/Young Craig in Brisbane, has been one of the most defining experiences of my career to date. Performing in a major international touring production at that level requires consistency, discipline, and the ability to deliver under pressure across an extended season.

In addition, working on major film and television productions such as Mortal Kombat II and Disney’s Nautilus has been significant. These opportunities have allowed me to work within high-level, international production environments and further develop my on-camera performance skills.”

Can you talk us through a project that felt like a breakthrough moment?

“Working on Mortal Kombat II with Warner Brothers was a major breakthrough for me. Being part of a globally recognised franchise meant stepping into a large-scale production environment with high expectations and a strong international presence.

It required a high level of professionalism, adaptability, and focus, particularly in an on-camera setting where precision and continuity are critical. That experience confirmed my ability to perform within major film productions and strengthened my confidence moving forward into similar opportunities.”

You’ve worked across stage, television, and commercial campaigns. How has that versatility shaped you?

“Working across multiple areas of the industry has been incredibly valuable. Each space requires a different approach, whether it’s the stamina and consistency needed for live theatre, the precision required for screen work, or the adaptability needed for commercial campaigns.

Projects such as television series like Shake Takes on Channel 10, commercial campaigns for brands like Suncorp Insurance, META, and Village Roadshow Theme Parks, and live performance seasons have all contributed to my ability to move confidently between mediums. That versatility allows me to respond quickly to direction and maintain performance quality regardless of the environment.”

What has it been like working with major companies and global productions?

“Working with companies such as Warner Brothers, Disney, Stan, and TEG Dainty has given me insight into the level of professionalism and detail required at the highest level of the industry.

These environments are fast-paced and demand consistency, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Being trusted within those spaces has been a valuable experience, and it has reinforced my understanding of what is expected when working on large-scale productions with international reach.”

Your career already spans a strong list of credits. How do you maintain that level of consistency?

“Consistency comes from preparation and mindset. I approach every opportunity, whether it’s a major production or a commercial shoot, with the same level of commitment and professionalism. My training plays a big role in that. Continuing to develop my skills across dance, acting, and performance ensures that I’m always ready to step into new opportunities. It’s also about being reliable, showing up prepared, taking direction well, and maintaining a strong work ethic across every project.”

What do you believe sets you apart as a performer?

“I believe my versatility is one of my strongest assets. I’m able to move between dance, acting, and musical theatre, and adapt to different styles and performance requirements quickly. I’m also very focused and receptive to direction. In professional environments, being able to take feedback and apply it immediately is essential, and I pride myself on being someone who can do that consistently while maintaining performance quality.”

You’ve worked consistently across multiple years, how has that momentum impacted your development?

“Working consistently across stage and screen from a young age has allowed me to build real experience within the industry. Each project has contributed to my growth, both technically and professionally. From early television work like Young Rock and Shake Takes, through to recent film and theatre credits, I’ve been able to develop a strong understanding of different production environments and expectations. That ongoing momentum has helped me build confidence and refine my performance skills over time.”

How do you approach stepping into high-pressure or large-scale environments?

“I focus on preparation and staying present. Large-scale productions can be demanding, but I approach them with a clear mindset so I can stay focused, take direction, and deliver consistently. Having worked in environments where there are long hours and high expectations, I’ve developed the ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain my performance standard. I see those environments as opportunities to grow and continue learning.”

What’s next for you, and how do you see your career evolving internationally?

“My focus is on continuing to build on the opportunities I’ve already had and stepping further into international productions across stage and screen.

Having already worked with globally recognised companies and productions, I’m motivated to continue expanding into larger markets and collaborating with leading creatives. I see my career evolving in a way that allows me to work across both live performance and screen at an international level, continuing to challenge myself and grow as a performer.”
