Get ready for an electrifying clash of rhythm and style as Red Bull Dance Your Style, the world’s premier one-vs-one street dance competition, returns to Australia for its thrilling National Final on 26 July.
This high-energy event is on a mission to crown the country’s top street dancer, and it’s the audience who holds the power, voting to decide the winner of each battle and who advances to the next round. With no judging panel, no pre-planned choreography, and a playlist of unpredictable beats, dancers must seize the moment, showcasing their raw talent and creativity in spontaneous, head-to-head battles.
Taking place at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on 26 July, the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Final will feature 12 “wildcard” dancers selected by scene experts across the country, as well as four champions from the open qualifiers taking place the evening prior at Sydney’s Liberty Hall. The National Final, which has seen attendance increases of over 50% year on year, will feature performances from Afrobeats, Soul and R&B artist and rapper, JESSB and content capture from global street dance expert, Daniel Stance of @stanceelements.
The winner of Australia’s National Final will go on to compete against top dancers from over 50 countries at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final in Los Angeles this October. A regular feature on social media, the fashion industry, film and music videos, the popularity of street dance continues to surge worldwide. Last year’s Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final amassed over 1.6 billion views across the globe, with plenty of ‘internet breaking’ clips including Champion MT Pop’s winning battle that went viral. Now Australians will have the unmissable chance to witness viral moments like these in-person at the National Final, before they make it to millions of phone screens across the world.
Making a difference with its open and inclusive status, the one-of-a-kind competition offers enormous freedom of expression where everyone can take to the stage to live their dream: Hip Hop, House, Popping, Locking, Waacking, Tutting, Voguing, Krump, Afro Dance or Dancehall are some of the dance styles eligible, but not the only ones.
