Dance Informa is giving away 10 double passes to screenings of The Royal Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker at select Australian metropolitan cinemas nationally!
In this exciting programme, Palace Opera & Ballet presents a Royal Ballet family treat danced to Tchaikovsky’s glittering score. Viewers follow Clara, a young girl who is led on an adventure to the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of the Sweets. Peter Wright’s enchanting staging retains exquisite surviving fragments of the original Lev Ivanov choreography, including the beautiful pas de deux for the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier.
First Soloist Francesca Hayward dances the role of innocent and wishful Clara, while Principal Dancer Lauren Cuthbertson is cast as the regal Sugar Plum Fairy, and Principal Dancer Nehemiah Kish as her stately Cavalier.
The ballet was captured live in high definition straight from Covent Garden, London. Australian dance enthusiasts can see it in various national cinemas on April 1-6.
