Get ready for the world’s most unique celebration of dance, where internationally renowned dancers meet home-grown talent with something to prove. The music is unpredictable, and the crowd decides who wins. Red Bull Dance Your Style, the global all-styles street dance phenomenon, returns to Sydney in April 2026, and it’s set to be bigger than ever.

Sydney will take centre stage as Red Bull Dance Your Style celebrates its fifth year in Australia, with Australia joining the 10-stop World Tour. As one of the most anticipated stops, the city welcomes international star dancers Kyoka, from Japan, and MT Pop, from Vietnam, to the shores, running interactive workshops in Western Sydney (Thursday 16 April) and Inner West Sydney (Friday 17 April), before the Red Bull Dance Your Style Qualifier Australia on Saturday 18 April, where the Sydney siders won’t just watch, they’re part of the action.

Street dance continues to surge across culture and social media, with last year’s World Final drawing over 1.6 billion views, even capturing the attention of Spice Girl, Mel B who whose jaw dropped when amazing street dancers performed to “Wannabe.” And Aussie viral moments like Amanda Va’s performance to 50 Cent’s “Just A Lil’ Bit” gaining over 21M views across socials. Now, Australians can experience these moments live before they hit screens worldwide.

The Sydney qualifying event will take place at Pier Street Underpass, Darling Harbour, on 18 April, from 12pm. Rising local talent will go head-to-head battling for a place in the National Final, with the voting power in the crowd’s hands.

Overseen by world-class freestyle dancers, MT Pop and Kyoka, who are known for their explosive performances and individuality, the lineup features some of the most talked-about names in global street dance.

Red Bull Dance Your Style flips the rules of dance battles completely. There are no formal judges, no choreographed routines and no pre-planned music. Instead, dancers step into the arena and improvise to surprise tracks chosen by the DJ. With complete freedom of expression across styles, including hip hop, house, popping, locking, waacking, tutting, voguing, krumping, afro and dancehall, every round is a dynamic show of creativity and musicality.

And the winner? The crowd decides. With no judges, the audience votes live. Every cheer, reaction and whoop counts, making Red Bull Dance Your Style one of the most interactive and unpredictable dance competitions in the world.

Plus, a lineup of workshops will give fans and dancers the chance to learn from some of the best in the game:

• Western Sydney workshop: Thursday, 16 April at Bankstown Arts Centre (5 Olympic Parade, Bankstown), 6-7:30pm.

• Sydney workshop: Friday, 17 April at DUTI Studios (82–84 Enmore Rd, Newtown), 6-7:30pm
