A rare opportunity has become available for male and female dancers to join Australian Dance Theatre, based in Adelaide, South Australia. The successful applicants will join an elite team of professional dancers, representing a world-class company led by Artistic Director Garry Stewart.
Dancers with professional experience are being encouraged to apply. Full-time contracts of a one-year duration are available. Applicants must hold either an Australian or New Zealand citizenship or a valid visa to work as a dancer in Australia.
Essential attributes a real candidate will have are resiliency, excellent physical prowess, a high proficiency in contemporary and classical dance, a great level of professionalism, the ability to think quick, and the willingness to work hard and be an effective team member. Of course, ideal candidates will be extremely passionate about dance and movement research.
To apply, dancers must submit a headshot, two dance shots, their CV (including at least two references) and links to video footage three minutes or under (on YouTube or Vimeo) via email to audition@adt.org.au. They should clearly communicate which audition they would like to attend. Applications close at 5 pm on Friday, June 10.
